After attending a work experience placement in our Midlands office in 2018, Lily approached AHP to discuss a potential Architectural Apprenticeship. We had been exploring the Apprenticeship scheme for some time and were pleased to note that one of the first educational establishments to offer the University learning was in the Midlands. As the apprenticeship scheme offers an excellent opportunity for both the employer and employee by balancing classroom learning with on-the-job training, it was an easy decision to make!

We have been very impressed with Lily’s dedication to her foundation course and the continuing development of her vocational skills. It was interesting to hear that the workplace learning gave her an advantage in the classroom and as a result the University showcased some of Lily’s assignment work along with a short video of her discussing her experience of the scheme.

We are extremely proud of Lily for achieving a foundation degree with distinction earlier this year and we welcome the opportunity of supporting her further development.

Chris Cattle

Having completed his BSc in Architectural Technology at Southbank University, Architectural Technician Chris Cattle, was nominated for the CIAT Greater London Region Student Awards 2020 for his individual and group projects.

Chris’s nominations were successful and he won both awards, with his prize for the individual project including an upgrade of his CIAT membership.

With the support of AHP, Chris plans to build on this experience and progress his CIAT membership. We are extremely proud of the dedication that he has shown to his studies, and congratulate him on his well-deserved success.
