The newly refurbished Mount Vernon Cancer centre is now open for patients after undergoing works as part of the Fabric Improvement Project.

The chemotherapy area has undergone a transformation of two areas that previously featured outdated fittings and finishes. The refurbishment was executed in two phases to ensure the preservation of chemotherapy chairs and to maintain patient pathways.
The space now includes a dedicated waiting space for patients and improved space for staff and patients throughout.

Senior Capital Project Manager, Michael Glynn said

“Despite the many challenges along the way, we have delivered a beautiful and functional chemotherapy space that will enhance the care we provide. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Carmel Crest, AHP, Mighty Nimrods, Perega structural engineers, Greenwoods QS
and everyone involved in this refurbishment for their hard work, dedication, and resilience throughout this process.”
