AHP were retained to develop the feasibility study provided by the client through the construction phase, up to completion of the project.

The works comprised the expansion of Park Lane Primary School from a one form entry to a two form entry school by, remodelling the existing Victorian school building and extending the school with a three storey construction. The extension included two new reception classes, a new hall, library, and office accommodation.

Planning requirements stipulated a new building which contrasted with the existing, but did not over power it, with plenty of light and DDA compliant access to all floors. The new building achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
